Ricky Gervais, star of The Office, has teamed up with the BUAV (British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection) to support its Our Best Friends campaign, which calls on the government to end experiments on cats and dogs.

Gervais posted a picture with his pet cat Ollie and commented 'Cats share our homes, they are loving, loyal and playful and they deserve a safe and happy life, not one of suffering. That's why I am supporting the Our Best Friends campaign, taking action to bring a stop to the suffering of cats and dogs in UK laboratories'. Former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt has also voiced her support for the campaign.
